Trader launch offer
Members who joined Bets & Ladders during early access were automatically placed on the Trader plan free of charge for the launch period — unlimited bets and full access without entering any payment details. This is the launch offer; if you have it, your plan page shows exactly how many days you have left. (Accounts created after pricing launched start on the Free plan instead — see Your plan.)
Why the launch period is free
We’re in early access — we’d rather real users get value out of the product while it matures than hold it back. The launch window is a per-user clock from the moment you first sign in — yours doesn’t expire because someone else signed up earlier or later.
What happens at the end of the launch period
Two possible outcomes, depending on whether we have payments in place yet.
If the launch period gets extended
We may extend Trader access during early access. If so, you’ll see a small in-app notification and nothing changes for you.
If paid plans have launched
You’ll get an in-app notice 30 days before your Trader period ends. The notification will say:
Your free Trader period ends on [date]. Subscribe to keep unlimited bets — £9/month or £72/year — or you’ll be moved to the Free plan with 100 bets per month.
You then have three options:
- Subscribe → stay on Trader at £9/month or £72/year (VAT included), via secure Stripe checkout.
- Do nothing → on the renewal date you’re automatically moved to Free with the 100-bet monthly allowance. No surprise charge.
- Move to Free now → from the Plan page (cog → Subscription). Skip ahead to the smaller allowance whenever you like.
There is no “must pay” moment. The default if you take no action is the Free plan, not a charge.
Tracking your days remaining
The number of days left on your launch offer shows in two places:
- Cog menu (top-right of the app) — the badge under “Trader” reads e.g. “47 days left on launch offer”.
- Plan page — the same countdown, plus the date your launch period ends.
Can I claim the launch offer again later?
The launch offer is a one-time grant per account. Once it has elapsed (or you’ve actively moved to Free), the route back to Trader is the paid plan — £9/month or £72/year from the Plan page.
If you signed up to Free deliberately and now want Trader, you can switch from the Plan page during the launch period and get the remainder of your launch window as Trader. See Switching between plans.
Subscription terms
The Terms describe what governs the Trader plan during the launch period and once paid plans land. The short version: no charge can happen without your active consent, and we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before anything changes.
